FLU VACCINATIONS
Can we once again remind people that for anyone entering any Riding Club Qualifiers, it is your responsibility to make sure that your Flu Vaccinations are correct. We are willing and able to check for you but if in doubt, please ask us to check your documents before you enter.
On the day of competition you must have with you your full documentation from the first 3 starter injections. There must be no gaps; even if you have had it done yearly, this can still be wrong! Also no photo copies are accepted. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be only too happy to help you?
This year British Riding Clubs are rigorously enforcing the Flu Vaccination rules at all qualifying competitions. With the introduction of passports many riders believe that because it shows a horse is up to date with its boosters there is no need to carry the vaccination certificates with them. This is not the case. Several competitors have been turned away from competitions because they cannot show the certificates for the original three vaccinations. Some have provided proof of boosters for the last fifteen years but, being unable to show the original starter vaccinations, have been turned away. Please note photocopies are not acceptable. If in doubt it is better to start again with a fresh course of vaccinations.
Flu vaccinations will be checked at all qualifying competitions- There will be a dedicated person checking and under no circumstances will you be allowed to ride if your vaccinations are incorrect.
